Stage and Production Management
Classroom learning and hands-on experience come together in our BFA in Stage and Production Management program, enabling you to develop skills in collaboration, process, and leadership within the art of theatre. Practical application of your coursework will begin from day one through stage management and production supervision projects during the Emerson Stage season and with professional internships at Boston’s leading theatres. In addition to stage and production management, course topics will include theatrical design, directing, arts management, and other related areas, giving you everything you need to thoroughly prepare for a career as a stage or production manager.

Musical Theatre
Emerson’s Musical Theatre BFA offers comprehensive, personalized training to hone your talents. Our faculty will encourage you to take risks and share high standards with supportive peers. By graduation, you will be ready to join Emerson alumni working regularly on and off Broadway, regionally, internationally, and on major tours. When you ultimately assume the professional stage, you will truly be able to bring your all.
Theatrical Design and Production
Emerson’s BFA in Theatrical Design and Production will teach you the foundational components of theatrical storytelling along with the design and technical elements of your chosen concentration in costumes, lighting, projections, scenic, or sound. With abundant opportunities to work in Emerson’s five modern theatre spaces and industry-standard shops, upon graduation you will have the training and experience to embark on a professional career.
