PEER TUTOR PROGRAM FOR UNDERGRADUATES

The WARC provides peer tutors to support undergraduate students taking select courses. Peer tutors have completed the course in a previous semester with a high grade and assist students with course content, test preparation, study approaches, and preparing for class discussions or projects.

The WARC full-time professional staff are available to meet with students individually to assess and recommend appropriate academic support to help ensure success. Study Strategies

Students can make an appointment with an academic skills specialist for one-on-one sessions to develop strategies in time management, test preparation, reading comprehension, note taking, and writing. To make an appointment, email warc@emerson.edu.

Support for Students Having Academic Difficulties

Resources are available to students experiencing academic difficulties and those on academic notice. One-on-one meetings are available to discuss academic standing, midterm grades, and planning. Ongoing support is available. To make an appointment, email warc@emerson.edu.

Support for International Students and Non-native English Speakers

The WARC welcomes undergraduate and graduate students whose first language is not English. Our staff are sensitive to the cultural and linguistic challenges that students may encounter and can help with academic counseling and the formulation of an effective support plan for success in American academia.
