Screenwriting Workshops
Your workshops are designed to be inclusive and respectful, to help all students strengthen their writing. Creative work will be completed in installments and submitted online, followed by detailed and thoughtful peer/professor online workshops. Following the group critiques, you will have a comprehensive, scheduled online or phone meeting with your professor to discuss the progress of your creative work and receive editorial notes on how to refine it. You will learn how to give and get feedback, to respect the integrity of others’ creative material, and to approach your work as an art form.

Online Learning at Emerson
The program balances synchronous and asynchronous coursework and workshops, which will have you interacting with your peers and professors each week. Faculty members are available for virtual and in-person office hours each week and are there to support your writing and growth throughout the program. You’ll find that each cohort has its own way of connecting outside of structured courses and experiences a sense of community that continues beyond the online platform, building lifelong relationships and friendships.
