An Emerson education is a global experience. Throughout the city, country, and around the world, Emerson’s reach extends far beyond our main campus to give you a globally conscious and internationally informed perspective on the way your industry and the world operates.

Los Angeles, California

Our state-of-the-art Los Angeles center stands tall on Sunset Boulevard and serves as the College’s home on the West Coast. While taking classes in the heart of Hollywood, students hold a semester-long internship at a site related to their field of study, engage with industry leaders both on and off campus, and come together as a cohesive community to positively impact the Greater Los Angeles area through volunteer work and outreach. A semester at Emerson Los Angeles will not only bolster your résumé, but will also help you develop into a more marketable leader in your field.

Kasteel Well, The Netherlands

Few students can say they’ve lived in a castle—but at Emerson, it’s a possibility. Our 14th-century castle in Well, the Netherlands, offers you the opportunity to live, learn, and travel in Europe for a full semester.

You can choose from a spectrum of courses, exploring the history, culture, and art of Europe while gaining a global perspective of how other countries interpret art and communication. It is a truly unique learning experience that will transform the way you view the world.

Global BA in International and Political Communication

This dual-degree program in International and Political Communication gives you the best of both worlds—at Franklin University Switzerland and Emerson College. You will spend your first two years in Lugano, Switzerland, gaining a high-quality liberal arts education and delving into academic travel courses. Then, you will spend your last two years in Emerson’s Political Communication major in Boston, focusing on US politics and communication. Through this specialized course of study, you will graduate with an international perspective on US domestic politics that sets you apart and positions you to make your mark in the field.

A Note on Health and Safety

Due to the changing nature of COVID-19 travel restrictions, and in the interest of the health and safety of our community, availability and schedule of global program offerings are subject to change.
