The Emerson Experience

The culture and educational experience at Emerson College is unlike that of any other institution. Our hands-on, immersive programs provide you with the real-world experience, foundational knowledge, and access to professional-grade facilities you need to hone your craft.

Our campus in downtown Boston puts you in the center of it all: You’ll live and learn close to global news organizations, publishing companies, research institutions, literary journals, advertising agencies, media consultancies, nonprofits, and more. Guided by an award-winning faculty of acclaimed authors, theater directors, filmmakers, speech clinicians, political commentators, and specialists in nearly every sphere of communication and the arts, our students are provided with an unparalleled academic experience.

This past fall, we welcomed 180 transfer students to our campus. They came from other four-year colleges and universities as well as two-year community colleges. Some had completed a semester or full year of coursework, while others had earned an associate’s degree and were seeking to continue in a four-year program.
