partnerships with community organizations in the Boston area

Our community is globally conscious and civically engaged, and we care deeply about our city of Boston and the world around it. Here, you will never have trouble finding a way to get involved. For example, you could:

> Lobby for carbon tax legislation at the Massachusetts State House with student organization Earth Emerson;

> Complete an Alternative Spring Break project in El Paso, Texas, at the Juárez border;

> Volunteer with a local organization like Rosie’s Place or Boston Cares; or

> Help young children develop language and literacy skills for school through the Jumpstart program.

At the Marlboro Institute, college is a global experience. Throughout the city, country, and around the world, Emerson College’s reach extends far beyond our main campus. You might:

> Gain hands-on experience by interning at Boston-area organizations such as the Boston Globe, Boston Public Library Fund, ActBlue, Barefoot Books, and more;

> Study at Emerson’s very own medieval castle in Well, the Netherlands;

> Spend a semester at our cutting-edge facility on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles while interning at companies such as Sony, Netflix, Discovery Studios, and E!; or…

> Choose from one of our other Emerson-sponsored external programs in locations from Austria to South Africa and everywhere in between.
