In this program, you will learn how to bring these components together to launch your own career in established creative enterprises. You will explore the connection between business strategy and artistic vision across the industries of marketing, publishing, TV and film, digital media, entertainment, and performing arts.

The first of its kind in the country, Emerson’s Comedic Arts program integrates writing, performance, and production with courses that examine comedy from a variety of perspectives. You will learn and practice the craft of comedy across disciplines and explore the historical, cultural, and theoretical dimensions of comedy as a global art form. And as an Emerson student, you will be following in the footsteps of some of our funniest alumni, including Bill Burr, Jennifer Coolidge, and Denis Leary.
