Paying for Your Emerson College Education
Applying for Federal Aid, Scholarships, and Grants
1
Complete your FAFSA and CSS Profile.
The first step toward financing your education is by exploring options for financial aid (both federal and private) and scholarships. FAFSA operates through the U.S. Department of Education and offers federal financial aid packages. The CSS Profile, through the College Board, helps students secure non-federal institutional aid.
Be sure to complete your FAFSA and CSS Profile by the appropriate due dates!
3
Review and accept your official financial aid package.
If you need help with any additional forms or documents, contact the Office of Financial Aid. You will be notified when your financial aid package is finalized. You will then need to complete the steps to accept your aid package. Grants and scholarships will automatically be accepted, but you will need to choose whether you wish to accept or decline part or all of any federal loans or federal work study offered.
* Please note: You must be admitted to Emerson in order to receive a financial aid package.
If you need help with any additional forms and documents, visit the Financial Aid website.

Supplement Your Federal Aid to Help Pay for Your Education
All students who have completed a FAFSA will be notified of their eligibility to use federal grants and/or Federal Direct Student Loans. Eligibility is based on a number of factors calculated in your Student Aid Index (SAI) when completing your FAFSA.
Emerson College offers a number of merit-based scholarships and need-based grants to accepted students. All applicants will be automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. All applicants who complete a FAFSA and CSS Profile by Emerson College’s published priority deadline will be considered for need-based grants.
Emerson offers a Tuition Payment Plan which gives you the option to make monthly, no-interest payments to help finance your education. This can help make costs and planning more manageable, particularly for international students who are not eligible for federal Financial Aid.
