Emerson’s 200+ student-athletes compete in 14 Division III Intercollegiate programs in the highly competitive New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). Our student-athletes are often recognized by the College, NEWMAC, and the NCAA for their exceptional achievements, both academic and athletic.

FACILITIES
Lester Rotch Field serves as the practice and playing field for our Women's and Men’s Soccer and Lacrosse teams, as well as the Women’s Softball team. The field is outfitted with FieldTurf synthetic surface, an electronic scoreboard, lighting for night games, a brick field house with locker rooms, an athletic trainer’s room, and equipment storage.
Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gym
Our home court occupies multiple levels of the $45-million, 14-story Max Mutchnick Campus Center and Piano Row Residence Hall. The Brown and Plofker Gym includes an NCAA tournament-sized basketball and volleyball court, locker rooms, office space for coaches and Athletics staff, and bleacher seating.
Our 10,000-square-foot Fitness Center features a wide variety of strength training and cardiovascular equipment from Life Fitness and Hammer Strength. You can exercise on your own or have a personalized program designed with the help of our knowledgeable, degreed staff. In addition, you may also participate in a number of weekly group fitness classes.
Emerson Athletics also sponsors and supports intramural and recreational activities based on student interest.
Our Women's Basketball team made the Women's Basketball Coaches Association 2021–2022 Honor Roll with the top GPA in all NCAA Division III and the third-highest GPA in the entire NCAA.
