The Lacerte Family Writing and Academic Resource Center (WARC) is a one-stop shop for all your academic support needs. Our mission is to develop confident and independent writers and learners by providing resources for intellectual growth and academic support.

The WARC’s services are free to current undergraduate and graduate students. Appointments to work one on one with our graduate and undergraduate consultants can be booked as needed or on an ongoing, weekly basis on emerson.mywconline.com.
CONSULTANT SERVICES
Writing Consultants (WCs) are invested readers available for collaboration on projects related to writing, research, and communication. Writing Consultants
- work with students on academic, creative, or personal projects
- assist students at any stage of writing development
- offer feedback that focuses on rhetorical choice, genre, audience, structure, clarity, and cohesion.
Academic Success Consultants (ASCs) work with students on time management, reading and study approaches, academic problem solving, and writing strategies. Academic Success Consultants
- collaborate with students in discovering personalized tools and strategies for academic success
English Language Learning (ELL) Consultants work with non-native speakers to improve English grammar and vocabulary using the student’s course writing assignments. ELL Consultants
- help international students understand American cultural contexts to promote effective oral and written communication.
- support students long-term to improve English language fluency
