FINANCING YOUR EDUCATION

We are committed to making an Emerson education as accessible as possible for our students. Through merit scholarships and payment plan options, we strive to help families manage the cost of an Emerson education. If you are a US citizen living abroad, please complete the FAFSA and CSS PROFILE to be eligible for need-based aid by November 15 (ED/EA) or February 1 (RD).

TRANSFER CREDIT INFORMATION

Emerson grants transfer credit for:

  • Advanced Placement: scores of 4 or 5 will receive 4 credits in the areas of the exam.
  • International Baccalaureate: higher level exams with scores of 4, 5, 6, or 7 (with the exception of Language A/English, where a score of 6 or 7 is required)

Additionally, official results for the following exams can be evaluated for transfer credit:

  • German Abitur
  • European Baccalaureate
  • French Baccalaureate
  • Swiss Maturité

TEST OPTIONAL

Emerson has a test optional policy for admission. Students who feel that their standardized test scores will be beneficial to the review process are encouraged to submit their scores as part of the application process. However, students who feel that their standardized test scores do not effectively represent their skills and talents or effectively demonstrate their ability to succeed within the college environment may opt to forgo submitting them for review.
